umbau einer stadtvilla

Originally built as a small house for the daughter of a prominent land owner, the house, built in the late 1800s, reflects the Queen Anne victorian style, consisting of many small rooms. This organization reflects life of a different time. The clients were interested in transforming the house to reflect how they live - the kitchen being, not the place where the servants cook, but rather the heart of the house, the small, chopped up spaces should be more connected and more generous. Through the combination of materials, the removal of the walls and the use of the best qualities of the victorian form, the house was transformed.
